HDIS Celebrates A Decade Of Top Workplace Wins

“The customers at HDIS are one of a kind and they are truly in need of our help,” says Michael Reilly, one of HDIS’ customer care counselors.  “It makes you feel good at the end of the day knowing that you helped someone live with more dignity and respect for themselves."


That statement sums up just one of the reasons HDIS was named a Top Workplace winner for the 10th year in a row in St. Louis, MO.  The St. Louis Post Dispatch newspaper has partnered with Philadelphia-based Energage to determine top workplaces based on an employee survey process. HDIS is one of only four companies in the area that have received the honor all ten years since the inception of the program.

This year, 1660 companies were asked to participate, and 151 made the list.  The survey focuses on workplace culture, and this year almost 80% of HDIS employees participated.  They highlighted three areas that made HDIS stand out as a 10x winner:

  • My job makes me feel like I am part of something meaningful.
  • HDIS operates by strong values.
  • HDIS is a true business family.

These things became even more important 18 months ago when the pandemic began.  “The thing I was most proud of and humbled by was the resilience of the HDIS family,” says Mark Nedvin, president of HDIS.  “Every single person was integral in creating a safe work environment, while nurturing our family-helping-families culture.  Together, we kept coming up with new and creative ways to care for our customers and each other.”
